ABSTRACT
Today, many aspects of radiation protection in the diagnosis and treatment applications of ionizing radiation; it has been determined by many organizations at the international level, especially the International Committee on Radiological Protection. Therefore in this article; biological effects of ionizing radiation, radiation protection system and regulatory principles, basic principles of radiation protection, radioactive precautions to be taken for radiation protection and contamination are discussed in detail, considering national and international legal regulations on radiation protection.
